Melikian to Receive Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award


      This article is mainly talking about the events that will be held to different and various ethnic groups. There will be an honor ceremony to all the people in different areas. The most important thing was that it is going to be held in Ellis Island, which was known as the golden gate of Immigrants and the price is given to people from different ethnicity.

     I think this price is not only celebrating the people who did a great job in their area, but it is also to remember the days when people from all over the world came in. Whoever started this event should be a person who highly respected the history.

    Ellis island was the important resource to immigrants because the island was the entrance of entering USA. It is upright award to Ellis island and I hope people can remember what Ellis island did for immigrants from various countries.

    As we learned in class, Ellis island was the important place for the immigrants during 1800s. It is memorable to be held in that place.
